Curbside Consult for Opioid & Substance Use Treatment

Need a supportive space to ask questions and discuss treatment options for patients with opioid and substance use disorders?

ECHO’s Curbside Consult for Opioid & Substance Use Treatment is 在这里 to:

  2. Answer questions and provide quality feedback, suggestions, and support in real time.

Bring all your questions related to opioid and substance treatment, including those regarding the use of Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). Learn more about these brain-targeting medications (e.g., buprenorphine, methadone) and psychosocial interventions (e.g., counseling, therapy, skills development) aimed at improving treatment outcomes.

CME/CE credit is not available for this program.

Important X-Waiver Updates

With the signing of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 (the Act) on Dec. 29, 2022, Congress eliminated the “DATA-Waiver Program,” also known as the MAT Waiver or X-Waiver program. The DEA has consequently lifted the waiver requirements and eliminated the patient limits to prescribing medications for opioid use disorder. 从6月27日开始, 2023, those who will be renewing or registering for a new DEA license will need to attest to a minimum of 8 hours of opioid or SUD training. This change will dramatically increase access to treatment across the country and hopefully help turn the opioid epidemic around.
